Meet Doctor Youngblood
John Matthew Youngblood, DC, BS, was born in 1953, has been a licensed chiropractor & acupuncturist in the state of Alabama since 1985. He established his practice in Mobile the same year. Dr. Youngblood and his wife Cindy (married 1978) moved to Mobile in 1985 because they fell in love with the beauty of the area and the warmth of the people.
Dr. Youngblood's Academic Credentials Include:
- Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from National College of Chiropractic, Lombard, IL (1985)
- Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from NCC (1984)
- Acupuncture Therapist Certificate, Midwest Center for the Study of Oriental Medicine, Chicago, IL (1984)
- Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University, Fort Worth, TX (1978)
- Associate Degree, St. Clair County Community College, Port Huron, MI (1977)
Dr. Youngblood has completed post-graduate work from accredited chiropractic colleges in the following areas:
- Certified in Spinal Impairment and Disability Evaluation
- Certified in Insurance Claims Review
- Whiplash Injury Master Program
Professional Memberships:
- Dr. Youngblood is the President of the Mobile County Chiropractic Society and has been a member since 1985.
- Alabama State Chiropractic Association member since 1985 and has been a member of the chair of several committees of the ASCA.
- Alabama State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, District 1 since 2020. Precept Director.
- Testing Examiner with the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners 2020.

Cynthia Youngblood
Cindy, Office Manager, has been greeting and helping patients for nearly 4 decades at West Mobile Chiropractic. She is the pleasant voice on the phone for scheduling, and she will happily get you checked-in and ready for service with Dr. Youngblood at the reception desk.
Other duties include verifying insurance coverage and answering fee-for-service questions.
